[ooc; after this]

[ Jacob returns to the room via the window, which is always preferable, not only because it's easier than going down to the main entrance from the roof, but also because it's almost second nature. Tonight especially, he's on autopilot, turning things over in his mind. Not about the decision, he's made that, made it last night tucked against Anduin. Vrenille has only served to reinforce that, to put him a little at ease.

Only a little. Because although Jacob knows it's the right thing, it's something that will keep Anduin out of trouble with the authorities so he can continue doing his healing, and hopefully it will keep Jacob's activities under the radar a little bit too.

But it also means change. He might spend a night away from the room sometimes- like he did last night- but it's never several nights in a row. The little dark, dank room has become... well. Home. But it's not the room itself, but the other occupant Jacob is concerned over, because the city is going to require the same thing from Hellboy as he does from him. They're both going to have to get contracts.

He looks around, having shut the window behind him, and feels a pang. He drops his coat to the floor, hat set on the table, boots pulled off, and then he climbs into the bed, once more full of indecision. Does he want to go? Yes and no. Can he put it off? Until Hellboy has something? How long would that take? Would it make Anduin reconsider? ]
